School Council

Our School Council is made up of 12 children from across Key Stage 1. These children are chosen by their peers (3 children from each class) as children who will speak their views, listen well, and help to make decisions about the school.

During the first half of the Autumn Term, Years 1 and 2 undertake School Council training before electing their representatives.

UPDATE Spring Term:

Our School Council have discussed and successfully put into place a football rota for playtimes to help things run more smoothly. They have also introduced "Firework Bear" as one of our Team Crookham Mascots. This bear is awarded to the class who have been noticed 'sparkling' by adults around the school, on behalf of the School Council.

We also worked together to find a solution for ensuring toilet flushing. The children decided making posters was the best solution and put together their best work. These were then laminated and put up in the toilets and a difference has already been noted - well done School Council!
