Our School Council is made up of 12 children from across Key Stage 1. These children are chosen by their peers (3 children from each class) as children who will speak their views, listen well, and help to make decisions about the school.
During the Autumn Term, Years 1 and 2 undertake School Council training before electing their representatives.
This year, School Council have looked at improving playtimes. Classes were consulted in class council meetings and then School Council made the decision to implement the following changes:
Designate a quiet area for children to read, colour, use chalkboards and play board games
Introduced a “Game of the Day” taught to all the children by our sports coach
School Council is currently thinking about our Learning Powers.
